Botanical name: Origanum majorana Habitat: North Africa, Middle East

Plant parts used: flowers and leaves Active ingredients and nutrients: essential oil containing carvacrol, rosmarinic acid, borneol, thymol sabiene, terpinene, limonene, linalool, terpineol, phenolic acids and flavonoids

Therapeutic properties: Besides being a known aromatic plant, marjoram has important therapeutic properties. It is digestive, antispasmodic, antineuralgic, pain relieving and therefore it is useful in case of pain associated with nervous system problems. It also helps to clear the nasal cavities in the case of cold.
