PROPERTIES: the oil extracted from Pumpkin Seeds is rich in linoleic acid which inhibits the 5-alpha reductase enzyme, which converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone. If in excess, the latter causes alopecia and causes the prostate to enlarge. It exerts a tonic action on bladder and a relaxing action on sphincter of bladder neck.
