DAMIANA :Turnera aphrodisiaca, known as Damiana, has aphrodisiac properties and helps in cases of erectile deficit or premature ejaculation. Its use is also indicated in the treatment of psychic impotence. A study from the 2009 Journal of Ethnopharmacology (Turnera diffusa Wild (Turneraceae) recovers sexual behavior in sexually exhausted males R. Estrada-Reyesb, P. Ortiz-Lópeza, J. Gutiérrez-Ortíza, L. Martínez-Mota a) has confirmed that the plant acts as a support in male sexual dysfunctions.

SERENOA : The “German Commission E” reports the use of Serenoa for the treatment of benign prostatic hypertrophy in stage I and II. Thanks to the action of fatty acids, Serenoa inhibits the enzyme 5 alpha-reductase, responsible for the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone. The latter, if in excess, is responsible for alopecia and prostate growth. The plant also reduces the bond between the molecule and its receptor, thus mitigating the action of any dihydrotestosterone present. It has anti-inflammatory and relaxing action on the muscles of the urinary tract, alleviating pain during diuresis. It also thins the blood, prevents the formation of plaques, decreases platelet aggregation, gives tone to the capillaries and venules: all this allows a better venous return. In the nervous system it has been shown that Ginkgo protects neurons: it increases their survival and supports their regeneration. Studies have shown that, given to patients with Azlheimer, it improves their cognitive functions.

MUIRA PUAMA: Muira puama is a plant known for its aphrodisiac properties, thanks to its active ingredient muirapuamina, with a specific vasodilating action. This alkaloid would act on the “catecholaminergic” systems of the central nervous system and its active ingredients would function as precursors of brain neurosteroids. Catecholamines and neurosteroids oversee the crucial roleof generating the feeling of energy and overall physical vitality, improving erectile status in general, sexual functions, vigor and desire in both men and women.
