A New Operational Facility

In 2023, Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio took a significant step in its growth journey by acquiring part of a 1950s warehouse. This building was once part of a thriving industrial complex but had been unused for years until its revival through the collaborative efforts and investments of local artisan businesses.The renovation was not just an act of restoration but an opportunity to unlock the potential of a previously underutilized space. With meticulous attention to detail and targeted interventions, the old warehouse has been transformed into a welcoming and functional environment, ready to accommodate Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio’s staff and activities.Most of the 420-square-meter area has been allocated for warehouse use, featuring sturdy wrought-iron shelving to optimize space for finished products, raw materials, and logistics essentials. Specific stations have been set up for product packaging, ensuring an efficient and organized workflow. Administrative desks are also located in this area, facilitating the seamless management of warehouse operations and the company’s overall activities.A distinctive feature of the facility is an open mezzanine that occupies a significant portion of the space. Beyond adding character and originality to the design, the mezzanine offers flexibility for hosting corporate events and client experiences. This multifunctional space enhances the dynamic and stimulating work environment.Adjacent to the warehouse is a newly built production laboratory, separated by a changing room. Spanning about 25 square meters, this laboratory serves as the heart of Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio’s production activities. Here, products are crafted with strict adherence to traditional recipes and using high-quality raw materials. The physical separation ensures a clean and safe working environment, compliant with hygiene and safety regulations.

Sustainability

The installation of solar panels generating 19 kW of clean energy and skylights illuminating 90% of the interior are just two tangible examples of the company’s sustainable philosophy. Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio adopts a holistic approach to sustainability, as evidenced by the 40 solar panels installed on the south-facing roof to maximize sunlight absorption. Additionally, 50% of the skylights have been treated with a blue film to block some solar rays, maintaining a comfortable indoor temperature, especially in summer. These choices not only reduce the company’s environmental footprint but also demonstrate a firm commitment to a sustainable future, creating a more welcoming and eco-friendly workplace.The solar panels, installed in October, saved over 2,200 kg of CO2 within the first 100 winter days — equivalent to 9,000 kilometers driven by car or the amount of CO2 absorbed by 57 trees.Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio’s packaging choices meet both economic and environmental sustainability criteria.
