But why is this vanilla so special!

We at Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio have always loved vanilla, it was its founder Dr. Di Massimo, my father, who fell in love with her when this raw material had not yet gained the limelight.

Since then most of our perfumes contain vanilla even maybe a small percentage. Vanilla is a base note, very persistent and with a medium intensity. Our VANIGLIA DEL MADAGASCAR perfume was already on the shelf on the day of the opening of our herbal shop on December 8, 1990. Together with perfumes based on raw materials that were very fashionable at the time such as Lily of the Valley, Honeysuckle and our Caterina de ‘ Medici, the VANIGLIA DEL MADAGASCAR, a Gourmand perfume, was an absolute novelty for niche perfumery. The term Gourmand in fact entered the language only in 1992.

Our Vanilla was thus born from an idea of my father who chose to use only natural vanillin by mixing Madagascar vanilla with Mexican vanilla, the first fatter and softer with delicate and floral aromas and the second hotter, more powerful and strongly chocolaty. Combined with creamy and white floral notes, it is today our best-selling perfume in the world, mentioned in various perfume books, reviewed in dozens of videos as one of the most persistent and pleasantly edible vanilla scents.

And that’s why we can’t stop creating new vanilla scented products. The VANIGLIA DEL MADAGASCAR body lotion and shower gelV have long been part of the collection. But from today we also have the new LIP GLOSS VANIGLIA DEL MADAGASCAR: an all-natural product based on castor seed oil and glittery beeswax for a super bright effect and delicately scented with vanilla.

And soon a new scented bag for wardrobes and drawers will arrive with our unmistakable Vanilla aroma.

To crown it all, the oil painting on canvas “Vanilla Orchid” by Paulina Jakubiuk that we bought two years ago, on display in our shop in Florence and that we have reproduced on all the cases.

In short, vanilla lovers can have an olfactory feast here!

CLOTHES and PERFUMES: the sensory strategy

THE POMANDERS PURSE

The sensory strategy that leads us to combine a perfume with a particular outfit has its roots in the habits of women of the 1400s who had many ways to insert perfumes into their outfits, these were solid perfumes that were inserted into gloves, necklaces, belts and bags. Used above all to leave the house in times when the streets of the cities were a bit smelly. The effluvia of their perfumes followed and surrounded them throughout the walk. The perfumes all had an abundance of base notes which made them even more persistent.

Pomander-purses, or sweet-bags, date back to the second half of the 16th century and the first half of the 17th century and appear to be a typically English object. They are small bags, square or almost square, embroidered on both sides, in colored silks and metallic threads, often with a floral design. Some feature gold, pearls and expensive fabrics. Tassels often decorate the bottom corners and edges. Many feature a long braided ring as well as a cord, suggesting that they were designed to be worn hanging from a belt. The bag was often worn around the person and carried herbs and scented essences to drive away the bad smells of everyday life.

VANILLA AND GINGER

Soon Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio will create this bag that you can choose to contain the products you buy and then use it as you wish. The first perfume available will be VANILLA AND GINGER: Sweet scent like Vanilla from Madagascar, but made more prickly by small drops of cypress, cloves and ginger. Fresh, spicy, exotic, ginger accompanies the bitterness and sourness of Calabrian citrus. A perfume created to remember the rough lands of Southern Italy

Prevention is always better than cure!

We have heard it said so many times that finally now we are starting to really believe it.

And when it comes to our health, it is essential to be listened to by specialists, doctors, pharmacists, phytotherapists because no one knows our weaknesses better than us, those parts of our body or mind that suffer first when our body loses its power. its balance. This is the guiding principle of prevention.

We at Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio are a team of two pharmacists, a herbalist, a biologist and a phytherapy expert at your disposal to listen to you and provide you with all the information that you can then discuss with your doctor.

But what is Phytotherapy? I quote from www.mypersonaltrainer.com

“Phytotherapy is understood as the branch of pharmacotherapy that deals with preventing and treating various ailments and diseases through the use of medicinal plants and preparations obtained from them. The term derives from the Greek φυτον (plant) and θεραπευω (cure), therefore “cure with plants”.

We are therefore in an area that complements and supports traditional medical science, phytotherapy is not an alternative medicine.

Let’s take a practical example:

an area in which prevention is considered fundamental by medical science and which, for about ten years now, has seen the publication of numerous studies of GUT MICROBIOTA  WELLBEING

Our body, physiologically, under normal conditions, carries out a detoxification process that aims to eliminate toxins from the body itself; it is essential for maintaining good overall health. However, when toxins attack the body from the outside (exogenous) or from the inside (endogenous), the effects of toxicity or intestinal dysbiosis are encountered.

The symptoms that most commonly occur in case of intoxication are: Chronic inflammation, Infections, Feeling of general malaise and chronic fatigue, Allergies and intolerances, Recurrent headaches, Depression and anxiety, Dermatitis, Weight gain, Problems during sleep, Problems with sleep memory and concentration, food malabsorption; Meteorism; Colitis; Constipation; Diarrhea; Avitaminosis; Candidiasis

The intestine and bacterial flora are our barrier against toxins and the active ingredients of plants can help us prevent these imbalances. Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio has formulated 5 products that contain the active ingredients that prevent intestinal dysbiosis.

Call us or ask your doctor which combination of these active ingredients is best suited to your situation. Contact us on the live chat or call 0552396055 or write to info@spezieriepalazzovecchio.it

It’s easy to say DISCOVERY KIT!

“.. I am still using the samples taken with the other Discovery Kits, many I have also given away, because beauty must be shared …, I am buying I Fiori del Cielo for my mother as it is now her love perfume.”  Stefany Giovanetti

A DISCOVERY KITis just that:

a long journey, an experience that does not end in a few days after the arrival of the perfumes, the possibility of dressing different fragrances according to the moment or emotions

an opportunity to share and give an emotion or a memory through a smell

Perfume has the superpower of awakening emotions, memories, moments of life and letting others perceive us with an extra sense, the sense of smell.

Almost all the creators of perfumes and fragrances sooner or later create a discovery kit, that is a set of perfumes bottled in very small bottles of a few ml so that their creations can be smelled even by those who, before choosing a perfume, want to smell it and cannot or doesn’t want to go to a physical store.

But why is the DISCOVERY KITby Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio different from the others?

You choose the perfumes of our DISCOVERY KITamong the many niche fragrances we have been creating for more than thirty years! Go to our site and read the stories and descriptions, the raw materials we used and choose which ones you want to hear.

However, we do our bit by adding, to the eight chosen by you, two perfumes which, based on your choices and our knowledge of our fragrances, we believe may be fragrances you will love.

In this way you will be able to NAME YOUR SCENT

DISCOVERY KIT: 8 perfume samples of 1,5 ml

It’s still summer…for everybody!

Back to work after the summer holidays, we feel the feeling that summer is over …. blessed are those who have chosen to go on holiday in mid-August and are now still enjoying the sun, the sea or the mountains!

But no! Summer is still here for everyone, even for those who have started working again. Summer also means sun, heat, taking care of the skin after exposure to the sun, thinking about the fragrance that will accompany us in the last month of summer.

After exposure to the sun, the skin still needs hydration and nourishment to keep the tan longer but also to slow down cellular aging and restore lcentenzza to the hair.

Vegetable oils, contrary to popular belief, do not leave the skin too greasy if they are spread on the body with slightly wet hands. In this way, in fact, the hydrolipidic film of the skin is able to absorb it much faster and a smaller amount is enough for a soft, hydrated, nourished and extremely shiny and healthy skin. Hair also benefits from oil packs.

Here are some of the oils produced by Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio, all vegetable oils, perfumed or not, cold extracted solvent-free, 100% pure, added with 0.15% of plant-based antioxidant system.

Argan oil: extracted exclusively from the almonds of the fruits of Argania spinosa, from Morocco. Argan oil has anti-aging, healing, repairing, protective and elasticizing properties, thanks to its richness in antioxidants, such as vitamin E, fatty acids and flavonoids.

Jojoba Oil: Extracted from the seeds of a growing plant in the desert, the Simmondsia chinensis. It has a slightly exotic fragrance, is very well absorbed, is rich in antioxidants and is very similar to the structure of human sebum, a substance that our body produces to protect the skin and keep it hydrated. For this reason it is an excellent skin rebalancing, useful in case of flaking, acne, psoriasis, oily or combination skin.

Coconut Oil: cold extract of coconuts ( Cocos nucifera L.). Promotes tanning and deeply hydrates the skin. Intensely nourishing, it can be used after the bath to replace the moisturizer, massaging it on the skin that is still damp. Below 18 degrees, coconut oil solidifies; before use, heat the package in a water bath to make it return to liquid form. Before shampooing, it should be left on for at least half an hour on dry hair. They will be soft and very shiny. Coconut oil keeps very long.

Sweet Almond Oil:  emollient, nourishing and moisturizing. Sweet Almond Oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil) is compatible with the skin, even the most delicate, of adults and children. Ideal for dry or pregnant skin to prevent stretch marks. It can be used after hair removal, for baby massage, on children in case of irritations caused by measles, eczema and chicken pox, for cleaning the face, hair, lips.

Olive Oil: “Extra virgin” olive oil is present in some of our cosmetics diluted but still active, it plays an important role thanks to the oleic acid content. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and in fact we mix it with the Boswellia oil that we use in our stick ARTROREUMABLOC for treatments articular.

Castor Oil: extracted from Ricinus Communis is useful as a pack for the hair and eyebrows because, thanks to Vit E, it nourishes and strengthens them

Rosehip oil:  is one of the most precious oils for the facial skin. Rich in Vitamin A, fatty acids and Lycopene, it reduces scars and spots due to age or sun exposure. It has healing, anti-wrinkle, nourishing, regenerating properties,

Neem Oilo: Extracted from the seeds of Azadirachta indica native to India , has remarkable antibacterial properties, therefore useful for skin dermatitis andof the scalp. It can be mixed with tea tree oil because they have a synergistic action against skin impurities and skin

Linseed oil: mainly used to polish and strengthen the hair and body for external use only. It is the richest oil in linoleic acid, vitamin E and lecithin, for this reason it is considered a powerful antioxidant.

DRY OR DEHYDRATED SKIN? THE SUMMER DILEMMA

With the arrival of summer heat, more and more frequent exposure to the sun, swimming in the sea and in the pool, our skin could suffer more than usual and appear dry, tight and dull. it is difficult at that point to say whether it is dehydration or lack of nourishment.Despite this, figuring out which product to use is actually not that difficult without the need for extensive testing or testing.

Our skin is composed of a hydrlipidic film composed of a fat, lipids, and an aqueous part, the water molecules. As long as these two components are both present in the right quantity and in balance with each other, the skin of our face appears radiant, toned and healthy.

When the aqueous component is missing, the skin is dehydrated and, to check it, just use a hyaluronic acid serum all over the face or only in areas where the skin is dry and dull. If after a while the skin regains luminosity, it was precisely the water that was lacking, in those cases our skin struggles to retain the naturally occurring water molecules for a long time or the diet does not provide the right amount of water to all the cells of the ‘body. In this case, the application of hyaluronic acid will allow the water molecules to stay alive longer, thus avoiding evaporation and therefore the lack of water. If, on the other hand, the skin is still suffering after the application of HYALURONIC ACID SERUM, the hydrolipidic film is probably lacking in the fat component which is equally important. There are many reasons why the lipid component may be deficient and for this it will be necessary to act with active ingredients that rebuild it like oils. or prevent its destruction such as ceramides and resveratrol.  LA BARRIERA DEL TEMPO serum contains these active ingredients. After the serum, you can then apply the  EYE CONTOUR BIOCREMA RIGENERANTE if more hydration is required or the IMMUNO 6 CREAM if the lipid part is missing.
