HAWTHORN standardised to 1.5% VITEXIN:
Thanks to the action of a flavonoid, VITEXIN, Hawthorn acts as a heart rhythm regulator: it helps normalize the heartbeat, reducing palpitations and, in anxious states, the perception of one’s own heartbeat.
It exerts a vasodilating action on the coronary musculature, with a positive inotropic effect. It is indicated in cases of angina, arrhythmia, palpitations, and heart failure.
It also has a sedative activity on the nervous system and is therefore useful for anxiety, sleep problems, and nervousness, with the advantage of not causing drowsiness.

PASSION FLOWER standardised to 4% VITEXIN:
This plant owes its activity to FLAVONOIDS, including HYPEROSIDE. It promotes sleep and helps with all sleep-related disorders: awakenings, difficulty falling asleep.
It is also indicated for stress, nervousness, and irritability.
A double-blind study (Akhondzadeh et al., *Passionflower in the treatment of generalized anxiety: a pilot double-blind randomized controlled trial with oxazepam*, 2011) showed that after 30 days, Passion Flower reduces anxiety symptoms.
It also has an antispasmodic effect, relaxing smooth muscles and thus useful in cases of pain, intestinal spasms, or cramps.

ESCHOLTZIA standardised to 0.35% PROTOPINE:
A natural HYPNOTIC–SEDATIVE plant with the advantage of not causing dependence. Its activity is due to an alkaloid, PROTOPINE, which acts safely without toxicity.
It helps the onset of sleep and prevents nocturnal awakenings. It also acts as an anxiolytic, promoting relaxation and reducing stress and nervous tension.
It has additional antispasmodic properties useful in cases of pain, intestinal spasms, and cramps.

HOP standardised to 0.4% RUTOSIDE:
This plant is known for its calming and mild sedative properties. Of particular interest is RUTOSIDE, a flavonoid glycoside standardized in the supplement at 0.4%.
It acts on the autonomic nervous system and helps relieve digestive discomfort such as colic, spasms, and pain.
It also contains phytoestrogens, making it useful during menopause, for premenstrual syndrome, and menstrual irregularities.
Hop regulates capillary permeability, protects blood vessel walls, and acts as an ANTIOXIDANT (*In vitro antioxidant properties of rutin*, Yang J. et al., LWT 41, 1060–1066, 2008).

LINDEN standardised to 1% FLAVONOIDS:
Listed in the European Pharmacopoeia IV, it is a sedative of the central nervous system and is useful as a blood pressure regulator in anxious states.
It promotes sleep and has an antispasmodic effect on the autonomic system.
It also acts as an antitussive (cough sedative) and antipyretic.
Its diaphoretic properties promote toxin elimination through perspiration.
