PRINCIPI ATTIVI-PROPRIETÀ

PROTEINE DELLA SOIA: I semi della soia contengono il 37% di proteine del peso a secco, oltre a vitamine (A,B1,B2,D,E) e minerali. Contengono inoltre LECITINA, un complesso di fosfolipidi, impiegato per la cura del sistema cardiovascolare e per riequilibrare i livelli di colesterolo nel sangue: permette infatti sia di riequilibrare il rapporto HDL/LDL sia la solubilizzazione e il trasporto del colesterolo nel sangue. Di grande interesse sono gli ISOFLAVONI, molecole che mimano l’azione degli estrogeni (ormoni femminili). L’attenzione per queste molecole è nata da studi comparativi sull’alimentazione di popolazioni dell’Est asiatico e l’alimentazione occidentale. Le ricerche hanno correlato all’assunzione di soja un ridotto rischio di cancro (seno e prostata), malattie cardiovascolari, aterosclerosi. Gli isoflavoni donano beneficio inoltre per contrastare i disturbi della menopausa come le vampate: è stato dimostrato che il 70-80% delle donne europee soffre di vampate a fronte del 14-18% delle donne asiatiche. Sempre in menopausa la Soja si rivela utile anche per contrastare l’insorgenza di osteoporosi, causata appunto dalla carenza di estrogeni (Tognolini, Principi di Farmacognosia e Fitoterapia, 2007).

GINGKO BILOBA : I componenti attivi della pianta sono i FLAVONGLICOSIDI. Queste molecole si comportano da ANTIOSSIDANTI, spesso chiamati anche scavenger, cioè spazzini, dato che eliminano i radicali liberi dall’organismo. L’azione della pianta è dovuta anche ai LATTONI TERPENICI, che agiscono in modo sinergico agli altri principi. Il Ginkgo possiede quindi proprietà sia sul sistema circolatorio che sul sistema nervoso centrale. Sul circolatorio agisce nella circolazione periferica (arti) e sull’insufficienza circolatoria cerebrale. Inoltre fluidifica il sangue, evita la formazione di placche, diminuisce l’aggregazione piastrinica, dona tono ai capillari e alle venule: tutto questo permette un migliore ritorno venoso. Sul sistema nervoso è stato dimostrato che il Ginkgo protegge i neuroni: ne aumenta la sopravvivenza e ne coadiuva la rigenerazione. Studi hanno evidenziato che, somministrato a malati di Azlheimer, migliora le loro funzioni cognitive (Capasso, Grandolini, Pescitelli, La Fitoterapia in uno sguardo, Springer, 2008)

GARCINIA : Questa pianta è utile nel metabolismo dei lipidi, ne diminuisce il deposito nel tessuto adiposo e regola l’appetito. Queste azioni sono dovute alla presenza di un acido organico, l’acido idrossicitrico HCA contenuto nel pericarpo (buccia) del frutto, che inibisce la produzione da parte del fegato dell’enzima ATP-CITRATO-LISASI, responsabile della trasformazione dei carboidrati e delle proteine in grassi. Favorisce la perdita di peso e la riduzione delle cellule adipose (adipociti). Questa droga trova impiego in caso di sovrappeso, ipercolesterolemia ed ipertrigliceridemia. Utile in caso di diete ipocaloriche per favorire il controllo del peso e per calmare la fame nervosa.

CARNITINA : sintetizzata dal nostro organismo a livello epatico e renale, è composta dagli amminoacidi Metionina e Lisina. Agisce in modo diretto nel metabolismo dei grassi: permette la conversione degli acidi grassi in energia. Interviene anche a protezione del sistema cardiovascolare e aumentando la contrattilità cardiaca. Aumenta i livelli ematici di HDL, lipoproteine adibite a contrastare l’aumento di colesterolo nel sangue.

CARCIOFO : Presente nella Farmacopea Italiana XI edizione, agisce da COLERETICO (aumenta la secrezione biliare) ed epatoprotettore. Grazie alla presenza di INULINA, una fibra utile nella regolazione dei livelli di zucchero nel sangue, è impiegata in caso di DIABETE. Possiede inoltre effetto ipolipemizzante: sia sulla colesterolemia, dato che inibisce l’enzima responsabile della biosintesi di colesterolo; sia perché aumenta le HDL, riducendo al contempo le LDL. Le sostanze amare conferiscono proprietà digestive alla pianta rendendola utile in caso di fermentazioni, mal di stomaco, nausea, oltre ad agire, in sinergia con l’inulina, come ipoglicemizzanti

COLINA E INOSITOLO : Sono i costituenti della LECITINA ed hanno attività sinergica, nonché proprietà simili. Giocano un ruolo importante nella metabolizzazione dei grassi (trigliceridi e colesterolo). Un’ integrazione di questi due elementi è consigliata in caso di problematiche epatiche, come STEATOSI (accumulo di grassi nel fegato) comunemente nota come FEGATO GRASSO (O INGROSSATO), data la loro azione EPATOPROTETTRICE.

VITAMINA B6 : Il nostro organismo usa questa vitamina in moltissime reazioni metaboliche che coinvolgono il metabolismo degli amminoacidi. Interviene inoltre nella sintesi dei neurotrasmettitori come adrenalina e noradrenalina.

CROMO : è un elemento fondamentale per il metabolismo del glucosio, dei grassi e delle proteine. Agisce nella regolazione della glicemia insieme all’insulina. Un’alimentazione ricca di nutrienti raffinati (farina 00, zucchero bianco) può provocare carenza di cromo e quindi aumento del rischio di sviluppare obesità e diabete.

METIONINA : è un amminoacido solforoso e agisce da LIPOTROPICO: aiuta il fegato nella metabolizzazione dei grassi. Partecipa alla sintesi di CARNITINA (vedi accanto). Dato che è composta da Zinco si rivela utile nella sintesi della cartilagine, aiuta quindi in caso di problemi osteoarticolari. Migliora la salute di pelle, capelli e unghie donando forza ed elasticità.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS AND MEDICAL PROPERTIES

SOY PROTEIN: Soybean seeds contain 37% dry weight proteins, as well as vitamins (A, B1, B2, D, E) and minerals. They also contain LECITHIN, a complex of phospholipids, used for the treatment of the cardiovascular system and to rebalance the levels of cholesterol in the blood: it allows to rebalance the HDL / LDL ratio and the solubilization and transport of cholesterol in the blood. Of great interest are the ISOFLAVONES, molecules that mimic the action of estrogens (female hormones). Attention to these molecules arose from comparative studies on the nutrition of East Asian populations and Western nutrition. Research has linked a reduced risk of cancer (breast and prostate), cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis to soja intake. Isoflavones also benefit to counter menopausal disorders such as heat flashes: it has been shown that 70-80% of European women suffer from flashes compared to 14-18% of Asian women.Also, douring menopause, Soja is useful to counteract the onset of osteoporosis, caused precisely by the lack of estrogen

GINGKO BILOBA : The active components of the plant are FLAVONGLYCOSIDES. These molecules act as ANTIOXIDANTS, often called scavengers, due to the fact that they eliminate free radicals from the body. The action of the plant is also due to the TERPENIC LATTONS, which act synergistically with the other principles. Ginkgo therefore has properties both on the circulatory system and on the central nervous system. On the circulatory system it acts in the peripheral circulation (limbs) and on cerebral circulatory insufficiency. It also thins the blood, prevents the formation of plaques, decreases platelet aggregation, gives tone to the capillaries and venules: all this allows a better venous return. In the nervous system it has been shown that Ginkgo protects neurons: it increases their survival and supports their regeneration. Studies have shown that, given to patients with Azlheimer, it improves their cognitive functions

GARCINIA : This plant is useful for the lipid metabolism, it decreases its deposition in adipose tissue and regulates appetite. These actions are due to the presence of an organic acid, the hydroxycitric acid HCA, which is contained in the pericarp (peel) of the fruit and inhibits the liver’s production of the enzyme ATP-CITRATE-LISASIS, responsible for the transformation of carbohydrates and proteins in fats. It promotes weight loss and reduction of fat cells (adipocytes). This drug is used in cases of overweightness, hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia. It is also useful in case of low-calorie diets, to promote weight control and to calm nervous hunger.

CARNITINE : synthesized by our body in the liver and kidneys, it is composed of the amino acids Methionine and Lysine. It acts directly in the metabolism of fats: it allows the conversion of fatty acids into energy. It also intervenes to protect the cardiovascular system and increase cardiac contractility. It also increases blood levels of HDL, lipoproteins used to counter the increase in cholesterol in blood.

ARTICHOKE : Present in the Italian Pharmacopoeia XI edition, it acts as a CHOLERETIC (increases bile secretion) and as a hepatoprotector. Thanks to the presence of INULINE, a fiber useful in the regulation of blood sugar levels, it is used in case of DIABETES. It also has a lipid-lowering effect: on cholesterol, since it inhibits the enzyme responsible for cholesterol biosynthesis; and because it increases HDL, while reducing LDL. Bitter substances give the plant digestive properties, making it useful in case of fermentation, stomach pain, nausea, as well as acting, in synergy with inulin, as hypoglycemic agents.

COLINE and INOSITOLE : They are the constituents of LECITHIN and have synergistic activity, as well as similar properties. They play an important role in the metabolism of fats (triglycerides and cholesterol). An integration of these two elements is recommended in the case of liver problems, such as STEATOSIS (fat accumulation in the liver) commonly known as LIVER FAT, given their HEPATOPROTECTIVE action.

VITAMIN B6 : Our body uses this vitamin in many metabolic reactions that involve the metabolism of amino acids. It also intervenes in the synthesis of neurotransmitters such as adrenaline and noradrenaline.

CHROM : It is a fundamental element for the metabolism of glucose, fats and proteins. It acts in the regulation of blood glucose together with insulin. A diet rich in refined nutrients (00 flour, white sugar) can cause chromium deficiency and therefore increase the risk of developing obesity and diabetes.

METHIONINA : it is a sulphurous amino acid that acts as a LIPOTROPIC: it helps the liver in the metabolism of fats. Participate in the synthesis of CARNITINE (see next). Since it is composed of Zinc, it is useful in the synthesis of cartilage, therefore it helps in case of osteoarticular problems. Improves the health of skin, hair and nails, giving strength and elasticity.
